IGF-1 is so named because of its close resemblance to insulin. Because IGF-1 is so similar to insulin, it interacts with insulin receptors on the surface of your cells, produces some of the same effects as insulin and even magnifies the effect of insulin. For example, one primary effect of both excess insulin and excess IGF-1 is hypoglycemia (low blood glucose). When you workout for a long time (longer than about one hour) your liver increases its release of IGF-binding protein (IGFBP-3) to prevent the onset of hypoglycemia that would otherwise happen as a result of the increased release of IGF-1 that occurs during training.
Two submissions were received, both in relation to AOD-9604. One submission did not comment on the scheduling proposal, but wished to inform the committee that the substance is an ingredient in cosmetic products being sold overseas, has an International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient (INCI) name of 27701 sh-Oligopeptide-74 and is published in the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook as well as the International Buyer's Guide.
Figure 5A demonstrates that chronic administration of AOD9604 or hGH has no significant effect on the weight of white adipose tissue in either WT orβ 3-KO mice. However, in brown adipose tissue, both AOD9604 and hGH significantly reduced the size of the brown adipose tissue mass in the WT mice (Fig. 5B), by 20% and 31% (P < 0.05), respectively, as was found previously in the C57BL/6J ob/ob mice (Fig. 2B). Importantly, this effect was not observed in β3-KO mice.
Another side effect of the CJC-1295 is acromegaly, since it helps in increasing the levels of the growth hormone. Acromegaly is a condition where extra growth hormone is released even after the internal organs and the skeleton have finished growing. This causes thickening of the skin, deepening of voice, enlargement of jaws, and slurring of speech. Another effect of acromegaly is the swelling of the soft tissue in the internal organs. This could result in the weakening of the muscles of the internal organs, like the heart. This was tested during the phase 2 testing of CJC-1295.

Cerebrolysin—also known as FPE 1070—is a synthetic nootropic drug. Nootropic drugs are substances that enhance cognitive functions such as memory, creativity, and motivation in otherwise healthy individuals. Clinical studies have shown that a once-daily administration of CJC 1295 normalizes the GHRH response and can induce significantly deeper sleep.

Injections of other compounds along with IGF-1 (which is a popular practice) can also cause serious health issues. The idea is that after an user administers a GHRP (like Ipamorelin) along with IGF-1, a selective pulse is then sent that stimulates the hypothalamus and pituitary to release even more growth hormone. But this may result in an eventual negative feedback loop that leaves you unable to produce your own growth hormone and stuck on injections forever. GHRP and synthetic HGH use has also been shown to cause joint pain, huge spikes in cortisol, excessive hunger, and splitting headaches.


Ipamorelin is very similar to the growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRPs) GHRP 2 and GHRP 6 in that it mimics ghrelin (the hunger hormone) and targets a specific HGH pulse. However, unlike other GHRPs, this peptide doesn’t affect the release of cortisol, acetylcholine, prolactin and aldosterone thereby minimizing side effects experienced with other GH therapies, such as increased hunger. Because there are virtually no negative side effects, Ipamorelin can be prescribed more aggressively and more frequently than other therapies without the risk of elevated cortisol and acetylcholine blood plasma levels. In our study, the rapid recovery from lameness (11 days) in the group that received AOD9604 and HA injection suggests that an early anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effect could be induced before the tissue repair observed at the end of the treatment period (35 days). This result may be explained by the pain-relieving effects of GH [30]. The intra-articular injection to the human knee using ultrasound guidance notably enhances the accuracy compared with injection using anatomical guidance [31–33]. Until recently, intra-articular injections to the rabbit knee using ultrasound guidance have rarely been reported [34]. In our study, intra-articular injections were performed using ultrasound guidance to identify the correct trajectory for needle placement in the knee joint, as the rabbit knee joint is smaller than that of humans.

First, when buying them, peptides are stored in the refrigerator. It is necessary to wash your hands before administering every preparation. Peptides are mixed with sterilized water. As an athlete, you can also increase your dosage cycle for a period of 12 to 16 weeks at a time, to maximize your gains. Do so gradually if you opt to go this route. Make sure you increase your daily dosage (1 to 2 doses per day, etc.) gradually. Start off with lower dosage levels as well, and see how it interacts with your body. You don’t want to experience withdrawal, nor do you want to experience negative side effects when using Ipamorelin for longer dosage cycles. So, make sure you monitor your progress, see how you feel as you go, and make notes if/when you do experience negative side effects, so you can balance down to the proper dosage levels.
The known side effects of IGF-1 injections include jaw pain, facial and hand swelling and heart-rhythm disturbances, especially if doses of more than 100 micrograms (mcg) are injected. Exceeding 100mcg of IGF-1 can actually cause your heart to stop beating and blood pressure to drop dramatically. This is caused by an IGF-1-induced drop in blood phosphate levels, and in the bodybuilding community is often prevented by administering phosphate with the IGF-1.
Whilst not illegal to buy AOD9604 in Australia, AOD9604 does not have approval by the TGA, which means it is not allowed to be sold on the basis of it having any pharmaceutical or performance enhancing benefits. It has not been approved by any pharmaceutical authority worldwide, except for the previously mentioned "Generally Regarded As Safe" designation by the FDA. AOD9604 is currently classed by the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) as a non-approved substance, which means it is not legal for use by athletes in competition. WADA policy is to ban all substances that are suspected of being performance-enhancing, even in the absence of clinical proof (1,2).

Raising GH levels with any peptide would accelerate fat loss obviously but if looking at strictly fat loss HGH frag 176-191 and AOD9604 (frag 177-191) are the fat loss peps. They are the part of the HGH amino acid sequence that initiates lipolysis. I personally like Hexarelin dosed 3x a day, it is the strongest ghrp and doesn't have any effect on hunger so it works great for fat loss and dieting for me.
In no particular order of importance, here they are: I swallow colostrum capsules every morning, I drink raw animal milk such as camel milk and goat milk in moderation, and I use the equivalent of around 30 grams of grass-fed whey protein each day in a smoothie (if you’re vegan or if whey protein doesn’t agree with your stomach, you can combine digestive enzymes with a vegan protein such as brown rice protein, pea protein or hemp protein for an effect similar to whey protein).
Lean C57BL/6J and obese (ob/ob) mice aged 12 wk were used in this study. There were 18 mice in each group, and they were divided into three treatment groups [saline (n = 6); AOD (250μ g/kg·d; n = 6); hGH (1 mg/k·d; n = 6)]. The animals were housed in the Departmental Animal Facility at a constant temperature and humidity in a 12-h light, 12-h dark cycle. Animals were injected with a single intraperitoneal dose of saline, AOD9604, or hGH at 0800 h each day for 14 d using a 1-ml syringe and 23-gauge needle. The body weights of the animals were recorded every second day along with food intake.
Ryan also brings up a good point to bring up the fact that GHRH receptors are typically not desensitized with higher dosing but again not much accomplished with CJC-1295, ,MOD GRF 1-29 where we know the 100mcg is a saturation dose. on the other hand we can desensitize the GHRP receptor if we start increasing the dosing significantly above the saturation dosing  of 100mcg. I think you are fine at a 150 mcg dosing but again how much more benefit are you really getting.
The interim decision was to include in Schedule 4 and in Appendix D Item 5 Growth Hormone Releasing Hormones (GHRHs), Growth Hormone Secretagogues (GHSs), Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides (GHRPs) as well as new individual substance entries for CJC-1295, ipamorelin, pralmorelin (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2), Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6, hexarelin and AOD-9604.

Remember the GHRP you select is used for a few reasons. One is to prompt the release of the increase pulse in GH you have initiated with the GHRH you have selected to use. This is by inhibition of Somatostatin. So you are actually selecting the timing of the release of your natural production of  still physiologic amount of GH.  Another reason is to actually contribute a little more to the amplitude of you GH pulse.


The original GRF (1-29) has a half-life of about 30 minutes. Half-life means the time within which half of the hormone administered will be destroyed within the body. This short half-life is due to the fact that the compound is highly unstable and breaks down soon. To increase its stability and to make it last longer, it was modified by adding 4 amino acids in its structure. This gave it the name Modified GRF (1-29) or Mod GRF 1-29. It was originally invented by DatBtrue. The portion of the molecule that actually stimulates the growth hormone secretion is found in the chain of 29 amino acids, so it is named GRF (1-29). This chemical also produces slow-wave sleep.
